Current Women's Bible Studies

Put “Bible Study” on Your To-Do List for 2009!

“Do not conform to any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2

Women: why not start the year off by practicing several of the habits of spiritual growth in Bible study? Weekly study groups provide a fresh look at scripture and provide fellowship and prayer.

Study groups will begin meeting January 13 (Tuesday), January 14 (Wednesday) and January 15 (Thursday). We will be introducing two new studies:

Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent by Beth Moore will be offered Tuesday mornings from 9:15 to 11:15 (childcare available), and Wednesday (home study) and Thursday evenings from 7 to 9. Study concludes the week of May 3.

Stepping Up is an in-depth look at Psalms 120-134. Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 psalms model how study participants can voice their own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us. Join Beth’s DVD sessions as she explores themes such as unity, gratitude, redemption, repentance, the power of blessings, facing ridicule and more. Modern-day believers can learn much from these treasured psalms in their journey toward greater intimacy with God.

Workbook cost is $14 (payable at the first session; scholarships available).

Isaiah, Part I, a Precept Upon Precept study, will be offered Tuesday mornings from 9:00 to 11:30 (childcare available). Study concludes mid to late April (14 weeks).

Led by Precepts-certified teacher Vicki Smith and accompanied by DVD lectures by Kay Arthur, this study thoroughly examines the first half of this prophetic Old Testament book. Five hours of homework are required each week to be completed daily.

Workbook cost is $25.50 (payable at the first session; scholarships available).

Register now online! No money will be collected until the first meeting. If you would rather register in person, you can register at the Welcome Booth outside our worship center on Sunday mornings.

Enrollment may be limited due to space and/or leadership resources, but every effort will be made to find a group for you to join.
